Worked out what I actually take home on Upwork and it was worse than I thought

Did the arithmetic properly for the first time: platform fee, the payment processing, the currency conversion, and the hours spent writing proposals that went nowhere. Against gross billings it came to just under 30%. The fee on the invoice is the small part.
